The design for the new residential property harmonizes with the local environment, incorporating traditional materials such as local stone and quoins. With a traditional front elevation, it preserves the character of the surrounding street scene while introducing modern improvements in site accessibility and functionality, including upgraded parking, access, and dedicated recycling storage.

The design prioritises inclusivity with accessible ground-floor facilities, ensuring usability for people of all ages and abilities. Key environmental and sustainable features align with Eden District’s goals for residential developments. These include:

  • Solar Gain: South- and west-facing windows reduce heating needs.
  • Eco-Drainage: Soakaway system prevents flooding.
  • Renewables: Renewable tech reduces carbon impact.
  • Local Materials: Existing materials and locally sourced supplies minimize transport emissions.
